Leeza Day

I am a Los Angeles born and based ceramic artist whose work explores memory, intimacy, and the relationship between objects and emotional experience.

Working primarily through hand-building, I create sculptural and functional forms that explore themes of family, vulnerability, ritual, and belonging. My practice is informed and inspired by personal archives, cultural symbolisms, photographs, and domestic spaces I inhabit.

I am interested in the way clay holds memory, records touch, and the passing of time. Through ceramics, drawing, and painting, I examine how objects can hold emotion and act as vessels for memory and attachment.

I made this website as a place to grow openly. Somewhere to archive progress, evolving selves, memories, and everyday moments. A reminder to myself, and to anyone reading, that being human is an ongoing process.
